*O'Reilly vs. Moore* right now!!!

O'Reilly did an interview yesterday at the DNC w/ Michael Moore. Supposedely it gets pretty heated (of course!) Just a heads up so you don't have to beg for the vidcap later 🙂

Update: O'Reilly is talking to Ben Affleck tonight as well, so I'm sure Ben will really blow us all away with his great political mind 😉

He's done it before.

Nah, I watched the interview they did a year or two ago. It was actually pretty calm. I was disappointed.

I've got a feeling this one won't be so calm. The good news is that all of us P&N'ers will feel right at home with the pointing and spewing!

That's true. I think the interview I saw was before Columbine but after the 'White' (sorry, I can't remember the title 😉 ) book.

Kind of like F9/11 was edited in Moore's favor?
Moore has admitted he's biased.

O'Reilly says he's Fair and Balanced.

HA!

I meant that O'Reilly has edited interviews to go in his favor before. There was a thread here recently, probably in one of the FOX threads, that gives a perfect example of one.

Yep, I'm fully aware of his edited interviews. But then I realize that his show is meant for entertainment and right wing chest pounding. 😉

You and I realize that but O'Reilly touts himself as an independent and offering a "fair and balanced" look at issues. He's managed to snooker hundreds of thousands of viewers in the same vein as has Hannity and Limbaugh. He's just a bit more subtle about it.

PLUS, O'Reilly claims to be a journalist. Moore is a flim-maker. That statement right there flushes the above argument down the toilet. Sorry.

I agree with you on Limbaugh but disagree to an extent with Hannity (tv show). Hannity is right wing as hell but at least he has Colmes there to keep things from getting too crazy on the tv show. I have to be honest though, watching someone do a straight down the middle news program would bore me to death. The extremist angles are a lot more entertaining.

That and ratings are what it's all about these days.

I hope they both kill each other.

Screaming matches ensues, slobber flies, tempers rise. Moore suddenly keels over from a cardiac arrest, while O'Reilly ruptures an artery in his brain and hits the studio floor with a resounding thud.

Fundies on both sides mourn their losses, while the rest of America heaves a sigh of relief. Good times.

While I'm dreaming, I'd sure like Kim Il Jong to get hit by a meteor.

Hannity is WORSE than Limbaugh. Hannity grabs onto a talking point (350 times raised taxes, supported 50-cent/gallon gas tax, blah blah blah) and just won't...let...go!

And Colmes is there as scenery. He might as well be a cardboard cut-out.

Moore called his "piece" a documentary.
A cherry bomb in that toilet? Hope you didn't get all wet. 😉

The bad thing is that anyone who watches Hannity & Colmes visualizes Hannity as representing Republican and Colmes representing Democrat. It's just funny to me in a way. It's almost as if the Fox execs got together and said 'Let's find a somewhat arrogant and decent looking guy to play the role of right wing extremist, and find a guy who looks like he probably can't get a date as the left wing role model.'

Hrmm, on second thought, I'm SURE the execs never had that thought in mind when assembling the duo.

Hey....Colmes occassionaly gets a word in.

A documentary doesn't neccessarily have to be "fair and balanced". Documentaries can be considered art and art is open to anybody's interpretation. Sorry, try again.
