Well, noone wants to kill anyone over there. If they would stop being terrorists and leave us the heck alone they and we would not be in this situation right now. But since they are terrorists and will not leave us alone we don't have much choice.

Oh yeah, that's not what you said earlier:

FALLUJAH, Iraq (AP) ? A senior officer of the U.S.-backed Fallujah Brigade on Sunday disputed U.S. claims that an American airstrike had hit a safehouse of terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's network.
The Health Ministry said at least 16 people were killed in the attack Saturday; witnesses put the number of dead at least 20, including women and children.

Nice Bugs, real nice.

16 dead terrorists vs how many of our dead troops? Kids who signed up for the army to give themselves a way to afford to go to college or a job when there was none in their small town.. dead from these terrorists yeh 16 dead and 18,000 more to go if the estimates of Al-Qaeda numbers were correct yes it is nice. too bad they didn't get 10000 in that building.

I noticed that also. I'd think he'd be a better speaker.

im just basing that on the little of his show ive seen.
ive not heard his radio show but i feel like someone that does 3+ hours of public speaking a day (especially on radio) and is very successful he would be more composed in language.
even when he flipped out at franken he didnt stumble too much.
im not saying its not true, im just saying i think its weird that he would be so inarticulate.

Bugs -- please stop and re-read what's being posted. They weren't terrorists -- they were innocent women and children. You are advocating blowing up entire families in their homes when they've done nothing wrong? You suck.

Oh... Goodie... You want to play show and tell? Try these:

U.S. Patent #4,155,047

U.S. Patent #5,157,350

And while you're at it, look for my name on the label of this record as one of two writers of this song by Annette Funicello. Not much of a songwriting credit, but it was the first song I wrote that was recorded by a major artist at the time. 😀 You can see the album it was on about half way down this page. :music: :wine:

I have more. Your turn. 😎

Now, back to my premise. O'Rielly is a horses ass! 😛

KK - You were served.

pwned!

Woot, and yet here he is on an intarweb forum...special indeed.

Hmm, so Iraqi's were "Terrorizing" the US? Hmm

hmm... the Iraqi's are primitive and prehistoric and we want to go there and give them democracy? Neocons changing their stories every minute, what a joke.

Uh huh from what source? According to our military those were terrorists, according to an Iraqi who may be in league with the terrorists or maybe he just heard someone say there were women and children among the dead, which unreliable as the source is women and children are terrorists too. We have women soldiers and they have women terrorists and today women are fair targets as much as men because of it. Our military does not strike targets like this without valid reasons.

this is like so cool... like radical, man!
people actually listen to Bill O Reilly... that is like so amazing

I'd rather be listening to the ex-Iraqi Information Minister... like at least he was entertaining

I am not surprised that the Iraqis are not crazy about being occupied ay the US.

By the way how many Iraqi civilians have died, been wounded or maimed in this war of "liberation"?

How many WMD has the US found?

Was Iraq a threat to the US?

Could Iraq strike the US in 45 minutes?

What O'Reilly fails to understand (and he's JUST a commentator who doesn't have any magical news sources - overrated, I think) is that Iraq pre-Saddam was one of the wealthiest countries in the Middle East with one of the most well-educated, modern populations in the near geographical area. It had universities people would flock to from surrounding countries. It's also a historically incredibly rich place with a proud tradition.

People actually listen to Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and their other lesser-known counterparts and think they're hearing the 'news.' What they are actually listening to is a media darling no more intelligent then they are spout the same stories from the same news sources that they get. They aren't "commentating" at all. They're reading.

Gee, after lying about the reason to go to war, after thousands of iraqis slaughtered and hundreds of iraqis tortured and humiliated by our hands, you'd think the iraqis would be more supportive

I swear, some of the neo-cons on this board are some of the dumbest motherfvckers ever.

They (O'Reilly, Rush et al.) are right wing propagandists spreading right wing ideas of racism (in this case), US racial and moral superiority (in this case) and similar fascist hogwash. They are much more than merely "commentators".

Good Gawd, Harvey you didn't just kick sand in the puny little nipper's face, you emptied the entire sandbox on his head!

[jab target="harvey"] So Harvey, what you're saying is you haven't produced anything since 1992?[/jab]

(laughs at own stupid joke)

I agree that some people's arguments aren't worth the paper their written on (or the airwaves they ride on), and at the moment it seems O'Reilly may fit in this category.

Well, first from Voice of America:

Iraqi military officers in the city of Fallujah say there is no sign any insurgents were in a house flattened during a U.S. attack that reportedly killed at least 20 civilians.
The Iraqi officers say Sunday women and children were among those killed, but an investigation produced no evidence foreign insurgents had used the house.

And then from Reuters.com:

Falluja's police chief and a senior officer in the Falluja Brigade in charge of security in the fiercely anti-U.S. town denied that foreign fighters had operated from the house.

"We inspected the damage, we looked through the bodies of the women and children and elderly. This was a family," Brigadier Nouri Aboud of the Falluja Brigade told Reuters.

"There is no sign of foreigners having lived in the house. Zarqawi and his men have no presence in Falluja."

That's right Bugs, you're celebrating innocent civilians being blown up in their houses! Nice going asshat.

Iraqis are angry because the last few times the US government intervened in Iraq bad things happened.

1. The overthrow of the republic in the '60s and the installion of the Ba'ath party by the CIA. Saddam Hussein rose to power soon after.
2. The urging of war against Iran in the '80s. Chemical weapons were provided to Saddam by the US. Saddam gassed several villages in the North with our knowledge.
3. The Gulf War.
4. The failed Kurdish uprising. After receiving promises from the US government that they will help in overthrowing Saddam, we left them out to dry. Saddam kills 40,000+ Kurds and levels several villages as an example.

No wonder they are hesistant in welcoming us.

Do you have a link that explains that? I thought the Ba'ath party came into power and then were overthrown but then again were brought into power with help from Egypt.

Tell ya what, Bugs. I'm going to setup camp in your home. I'm going to eat your food, beat you and shoot you in the foot, rape your wife, bust out some walls, blow up your car, and after all that, I will fully expect you to shake my hand and ask me to keep staying.

I guess my people are primitives also. But then the rest of the US is an occupying force. Might nor Technology makes Right. Every group on this planet has a right to choose their own way to live. My people had their way of living destroyed by biological warfare and our food supply destroyed by the United States.
