I used to play that when I was in 5th and 6th grade (1989-1990). I especially loved going hunting. :)

I remember I wouldn't buy any food and buy a whole bunch of musket balls. :) I hunted all the time and moved about 10 ft.

Hunting is where it's at!

I loved hunting and then crossing the river!

I was poking around on kazaa about a year ago and found the latest version (I think)

It had a whole storyline complete with animated cartoons, voice acting, movies, and actual huge ammounts of info on just about anything in the game itself. I think it was Oregon Trail 5, maybe 4.

Man I was looking for this game on Win XP just a couple days ago without even knowing this thread existed. I even went to that gamestation site but that gay emulator sucks. It always get stuck on 'calibrating' or summat. Anyone know how to get around this?

Thanks

I played that game on an Apple II (not even a IIe) when I was in middle school (roughly 1980 or so).

Talk about Old School! :D

The good old days of the Apple II, when 128KB of RAM was king.

/me thinks of classics from that era

Hard Hat Mack, Conan the Barbarian, Space Quarks ... :D

Ditto...I can't get it to work on WinXP either... :(

Deeko - It looks like you are running the Emulator just fine on XP. How?
