The oregon scientific Echo is not very useful. Some of its deficiencies include: no recurring appointments, no alarms in advance of the meeting (the alarm only goes off at the time of the meeting), no support for Outlook unless you purchase additional software. For $30, you can get a new Rex 5001 on e-Bay, and it would still be a better product. For $60, you can get a Rex 6000, which doesn't even improve that much over a Rex 5001. I have a Rex 5001 and, as a credit-card sized date book (that doesn't permit me to play games like I would with a Palm Pilot), it's great.
