Trump sure is testing the limits his supporters are willing to go along with his desperately comical attempt at overturning his loss to Biden. It seems to me the longer he keeps up this charade of his the more stale and unappealing it becomes, especially when it comes to those supporters of his who possess a modicum of common sense and the remnants of a sense of patriotism and are now conflicted about dealing with the overwhelming proof that "his stolen election" was in fact the most secure we've conducted to date or foolishly continue to "believe" in The Big Lie as a means to depose Biden.

Reality is an formidable enemy the Repubs have been waging war against from way back in the day and it looks like the 2020 election cycle was a clear warning to them that reality is winning that war. It's just so pathetically sad that along with the former they've also chosen to wage war against the democratic way we choose our leaders in response and replace it with a fake fixed system of conducting elections that Putin and other authoritarians like him exploit to keep in power.

Trump subliminally suggests to his fanatic cult? Thats better?

Anyway you’re right… this reads more like a message to R’s in office to get the loyalists in place before 2022 and specially 2024 or they’ll be out of a job. Noone is gonna vote for your sorry ass specially if I back another candidate.

Wonder if you’ll miss ‘democracy’ once you lost it taj?
that's the problem with taj and those like him, they're so afraid of socialism taking over that they ignore the fascists actually scheming to sideline the will of the people.

Coming from the person who titled a thread "Sinema chased into the bathroom" She didn't go there to escape questions she went to use it.

Not only are you a hypocritical liar, you are bad at it.

Here is the statement from your God himself

He was not "asking" Republicans not to vote. No other way to interpret that other then an order.

Could be read a "dire" prediction rather than as an order.

Either way, it's pretty stupid of him to even implant the notion of not voting into the minds of his voters.

I'm perfectly OK with Republicans self-disenfrachising themselves to Make America Great Again.

Not that it will matter with states sending their own determined electoral candidates. Remember when the US at least pretended to have votes count? Nah, me neither.

Demographers project that whites will become a minority in the U.S. in around 2045, dropping below 50% of the population.

2016 was the wake up call when the live birth rate scales finally tipped in the favor of team America. Team Democrat.

Republican leaders already know this as evidenced by their full court press to assure democrats can never vote and that ALL elections regardless of the vote tally belongs to the Republicans while they keep stoking their voters enlarged fear centers. They know their white world is being erased and replaced by ones where they aren't the top of the food chain any more. One where everyone can eat.

I can't wait to watch it play out.

Normally I feel Beau is spot on, but this time I have to partially disagree, or rather I believe it goes deeper than what Beau says, and it is serious and dangerious for the Democrats, this country, and our democracy. The second "Republican" isn't just a message for Congress and Republic leaders to push the big lie. In fact, I don't think that was what Trump meant at all. I think he is telling his voters not to vote and telling the state legislatures to put him in office, and make sure Republicans win in 2022 via state legislatures action, not by our votes. Remember he believes that it's the state legislatures decision on who is President by chosing the EC voters, and not the voters. So he is telling the state legislatures that it is their job to make sure he is the President, as well as themselves for Congress.

We already have some states who have changed their voting laws making it easier for them to do exactly that.

I get your line of thinking…. by keeping his base from the ballots the margin will be so big that it will give credence to the fraud allegations, and thus legitimize the coup.
Man I hope thats not right.

Trump doesn't have some "grand/deep strategy” in his comments. Trump isn't capable of thinking beyond his next Big Mac - much less effect any plans that involve a theory of mind or awareness of people other than himself. There is some small methods to some of what he does. He has, over the years gained a primal sense for human weakness and how to exploit it. Trump does have a feral understanding that plenty of Republican officeholders want to put him in the rear view mirror - either because they can’t stand him or they want to commandeer his movement. This is him jerking those peoples chain to remind them that he can and will crash the entire party if they try to cut him out.

Trump’s statements are also aimed at Republican officeholders who bought into the Big Lie grift and are daring to back off, even slightly, from Trump’s contention that the 2020 election was stolen and are declining to go along with further Arizona-style “fraudits”. It’s a shot across the bow to them that he can make or break their next campaign, and that he expects full support of his crusade. His Mob Boss speak - We've seen this before. If they get on board, he’ll have more than enough time and reason to reverse himself and say he didn't mean what he said.

Trump is flexing his muscles. He’s willing to trash the Republicans in the midterm elections to demonstrate to them that they have to nominate him in 2024. If they don’t, he’ll trash whoever else they nominate. Trump probably can’t win in 2024 (which is why the Republicans would be fucking stupid to nominate him). But Trump won’t care if he costs the Republicans an election they could possibly have otherwise won. He’ll place his own self-interest above that of the Republican party and what's best for the country.

His solution to republican's loosing power is to give up all of it. It's like cutting off your nose to spite your face, then using a drill to gouge out the sinus cavity's.
Could that be because he has only ever cared about himself?

I've seen more than one person claim that the real Republicans are endorsing Democrat candidates and urging other real Repubicans to vote for them and against the KKKultists.

This is just Trump blowing hot air, means nothing. More importantly the GOP is working night and day across the country to make sure 2022 and beyond ARE corrupt and fixed elections-with GOP partisans doing the fixing and the corruption. That is of far more concern, especially given the spineless makeup of the Supreme Court.
