hi i would drop the sata HD and get a ide OEM hd . your 350 psu wont be able to put out the enoughf power for the 6800gt.
antec or enermax psu 500 watt would be nice . that be my only concerns. looks good after that.

Since you're using an nForce 3 board, there will be no difference whatsoever between a SATA1 and SATA2 drive, since the nForce 3 only supports SATA1. Spend the extra cash, and get the extra 40GB.

1. Do you need all the features that MSI platinum motherboard offers? I am sure you can get Neo 2 for $25 cheaper and it'll have same overclocking features. Also have you looked at other boards like Epox? I personaly hate to pay premiums on motherboards but this one seems to have good reviews

2. Why do you need a DVD writer and a CD writer? If you plan on burning dvd to dvd, get DVD writer and DVD-rom only. Otherwise this is redundant in my eyes.

3. NCQ is useless unless you have Nforce 4 or 915/925 chipsets capable of using it. If you don't need a lot of space get 74 gig raptor instead for $150 on Newegg. You can also consider getting 2 80 gb hard drives for 60 a piece since that way you can reformat the OS any time you want. Store programs and OS on 1, games and music on the other.

4. I'd probably get Antec 430/480, Tagan 480, OCZ 420 or Enermax 475 power supplies. If you dont intend to overclock, Thermaltake 480 will do for cheaper. I have the same case and the power supply often drops to 3.12V on 3.3rail which is horrible as it causes my games to crash. So don't buy that psu. You can get that case w/o the psu if you like it.

5. Get 1 gig of ram => Mushkin Enhanced PC 3200 2.5-3-3 is $148 on Newegg (see how saving some $ on a motherboard and a bit off the hard drives can help you in places where you'd want it more, like 2x the ram)

6. If you are advanterous at overclocking get A64 3000 or 3200+ 90nm and a decent cooler like this one Zalman CNPS7700 - $33

Either way get 90nm cpu as they run cooler and overclock better. Dont buy Leadtek card from GameVE (any other store is fine), otherwise good 🙂
