heres my input:
-do NOT get that psu, get something from enermax, pcpc, seasonic, or fsp
-thats a crappy case, you're gunna put your nice new pc in some crappy rosewill case?
-crappy monitor, samsung and viewsonic and NEC make some nice monitors
-do you like playing your games at high or max settings? if so then get ati because nvidia gpu's won't give u good frame rates when turning up eye candy
-no need for the sony dvd rom
-Seagate 7200.10 hdd's are better than the WD u chose, perpendicular recording allows more data per platter thannormal drives, seagate has longer warranty and runs cooler
-logitech speakers have no mids, all you'll hear is boomy bass and squeaky highs
-get a $5 yate loon fan instead of a rosewill product

they system seems fair and informative to me?
Newegg reviews are fine for some things but most people are not knowledged enough to make an informed opinion on what makes a PSU good or bad.

Prime example Powmax and Raidmax, two known pieces of junk with very favorable reviews on Newegg.

And I want a beefy psu sense I might go SLI-DX10 in the future
If there are any other decent quality 550w + psu off newegg I'd like to know.

If there arn't any others, well that's why I want this one

Here are a few..

XCLIO GREATPOWER
FSP Group (Fortron Source) FX600-GLN
Seasonic S12 600
never even heard of the brand once and there are no reviews
apparently a lot of the seasonics are doa
the fortron looks good but it's $25 more
:disgust:

I don't know whether or not all those Seasonic DOA reviews are accurate or not, but my 2 Seasonic PSUs have been rock solid over several years.

-- That case actually looks pretty decent for the money. It wouldn't be my choice but I certainly don't see anything wrong with it from the pics.

-- The 7900GT is a good choice for that price range.

-- The 5 year warranty from Seagate is worth it in my opinion.

-- Logitech speakers are fine; the bass is exaggerated a bit but that?s all.

-- Agreed on the Yate Loon.

I love the looks of the case but when it comes to quality I decided on it because of a rosewill case thread in which this was claimed to be a great case for the price
They said it was bascialy an Antec case with a Rosewill name

Ya I don't see how a 7900 GT is bad... especialy this model, the specs are higher then almost all of them

I'm looking at this Seagate model here - I guess I'll get it while theres a sale, thanks
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148144

I narrowed down the search and this is the only other set of speakers I would get - think these beat the logitechs?
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications...item-details.asp?EdpNo=1224471&CatId=0

They don't have Yate Loons on newegg so I'm not going to bother

I think I'll just buy the mouse, keyboard, speakers, and monitor today sense the shipping takes longer

and spend a few more days working on the internal parts

The least sites to sign up to, the better

Newegg seems to be the best all around site which is why I'll trust them with all the internal components

Giving out your credit card number to multiple REPUTABLE websites isn't a bad thing at all. It'll save you money by shopping around. Just check the reseller ratings.

NOT true at all.

one thing about the evga cards, the 4 that i went through all 79gts, you have to litterally wash them, cuz if u turn them over,, it's got GUNk alll over it. and its been proven to clock higher with more stability when cleansed.

And the thing is I was thuroughly disappointed at the 7900 gt's performance. they were just shabby.

x1900xtx is like 350 with rebate, common people.

and all of you who either did not deter him from AM2 or has encouraged him,, should be damed. like common , why do you think all the news about discountinueing am2 went around a while ago, cuz it SUXorz.. and you have NO good foot to start overclocking on.

1. I would probably fold the keyboard/mice into a nice wireless combo for just a little more.
2. Just go with a single DVD burner instead of the 2 drive solution you have. More often than not you won't be using the optical drive anyways.
3. If I were you I'd probably spend a little more on a better case, like a Lian-Li PC60 or an Antec P180. That way you have your cooling system already set up for you.
4. Do you have to have AMD? I'd probably just get an E6300 with the ASRock S775-dual VSTA board for about the same price.
5. I have the WD drive. Good price on that.

Most of my opinions coincide with other peoples. New PSU for sure. Drop that second DVD drive and use it towards a PSU. Seagate HD's are sweet, but I would only change it if the drive is within 10$ before MIR. Change to a low end conroe, with a medium end non-sli board and get a x1900xt. Honestly, and this is speaking from my experience, SLI is pretty useless unless you are buying 2 cards at the same time as eachother or in a very short period of time because by the time you want to drop a second card, it is better to just buy a new card. Dx10 cards are coming soon, so it would be wise to buy a x1900xt and then look in 6 months for a dx10 card. I cant comment on HannsG, but I would look at the 940WBF samsung monitor. It's very nice and has HDCP. Go for a higher end case, you won't be sorry (I am a fan of the P180's). Drop that ram and go for something more budget, you dont need corsair XMS with this system.

I hope this helped

*getting the OCZ 600W instead*
Seagate - done
However I like the ram, it's not expensive anyway

And I'm going with the eVGA which meens I could step up to the G80 if it's any good
