what if the eye doc who wrote my prescription is outside the country?

You could always order from a foreign company and get them to ship it to the US. The UK company I used didn't require a prescription for international shipments. (I'm in the UK so I had to give one).

Best idea might be to ring the company and ask though, just to make sure you are clear on what they require.

vshah, if you have a copy of the prescription, just fax it to the contact lens guys. that works fine for me.
