Ordering cola at restaurants...

This is kind of a pet peeve of mine...

You are dining at a restaurant and you ask for a Coke. Half the time the waitress will ask; "is Pepsi OK?". Is this not a redundant question??

I mean how many people out there ask for a Coke, hear they only have Pepsi...cringe and order something else. Are people really that anal over these two cola brands? 😛

A lot of people hate Coke/Pepsi and will only drink the other brand. It's rather surprising.

Pepsi all the way, Coke is way to sweet, Pepsi has a crisp taste to it.

I pretty much only drink Iced Tea. But if I ask for a Coke, they better have it, else it's Dr. Pepper.

Pepsi is nasty.

i'll usually go to order mt. dew, and if its coke products, simply a coke.
if its pepsi products and i ask for a coke, i take a mt. dew. i don't drink pepsi if there is a way out.

I prefer Pepsi but I'll take whatever they have.

I drink diet though, and Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke are a lot more similar than Coke and Pepsi.

Some people really don't like one or the other.

Both companies are very, shall we say, dedicated to their brand. Our Coke rep absolutely refuses to ever touch any Pepsi product (even their bottled water).

If they don't have Diet Coke I will change my order to either Tea or Water.

gotta admit, Dasani is some nice water. I especially love their Dasani Lemon flavored water the best among all lemon flavored waters.

I'm a server so I always make sure. You'd be surprised how many people will refuse Pepsi and get something else instead.

Present. If it isn't coke I get water/tea.

I don't like Pepsi, too sweet. I usually drink either water or beer when out for a meal though. Regular coke at home, wife drinks diet coke.
