Ordered router, let's start running SETI before it gets here. Help please!

How would I go about ferrying WUs between this computer and my own. Right now it is down the hall from me (in our living room, student house) with out any means of networking. I do have a CD-RW and floppies though! What steps do I have to go through?

I'd just make a separate SETI Driver install on the PC with net access, fill it up with WUs, burn to CD-RW, transfer to other computer, make sure they aren't read-only.

And then you can easily transfer the completed WUs back on a floppy disk, because new ones are about 300KB, while results are about 3KB to 15KB

Negative. I just turned it on for the first time and it's a 486 66MHz, without free PCI slots (tough to get network cards). It will too much work for what it's worth. Anybody recommend a good cheap way to get a basic server? Refurbished Dell? Build my own?
