Ordered from ZipZoomFly

Basically, I placed my order by generating a secure card with paypal's plug-in, which is connected to my debit account. I placed the order around 7 hours ago, and it is still "processing." Then I read this on the site:

Electronic Check MUST fulfill the 5 business day processing period. For details on Electronic Check order cancellation, please contact our Customer Service at (510) 897-1890.

Does the secure card count as an eCheck? If so, should I cancel and reorder directly from my debit card? Thanks in advance!

Well, i don't know why you think this is ZipZoomFly customer support forum, but i'll help ya out anyways: give them a call at that number you have.

Who the hell uses a debit card for online orders? That's like asking for butt rape.

i use a debit card for online purchases. it's a visa and i'm fully covered in such cases. i just call my bank's main branch and they take care of it.

This. Besides that on big purchases my bank calls me and so does the e-tailer.

Edit: for post below.

So does the "generated secure card" count as an echeck? I'm sure some of you have ordered from ZZF using this option.

Nope, when I order from ZZF I just use my card.

Ah, that does not answer my question though 🙁

How? I use my debit card or online purchases all the time and I've only had one fraudulent charge, which my bank took care of in about 10 minutes.

PM'ed, thanks mate!

i certainly hope you're kidding

Yes, but in all seriousness, am I subject to that 5 day approval because I used a generated secure card, or not?

I don't think it's an eCheck because it generates a one time number which is like a credit card number. Paypal must use either VISA or MASTERCARD to generate such number right?

Also if you have a bank account and your debit card tied to your account you payments are instant, no?

i believe so. that's why i use it for ebay purchases so i don't have to wait for them to ship my items.

I believe so. I only did this for the 2% cashback. I am a bit worried though, as I payed for overnight delivery, and would like this asap! 🙂

It sure was really difficult to find the answer. Go to Paypal help and search for secure card.

What is a Secure Card and how does it compare to the virtual Debit Card?

Question :
Answer :
Secure Cards are virtual MasterCard debit card numbers that function just like the Virtual Debit Card. Secure Cards have replaced the Virtual Debit Card.

If it's a virtual MasterCard, then it won't be subject to any check holds.

let us know how it goes. if you've got to wait 5 days, get a refund on the overnight delivery charges.

Well it refers to overnight after it is shipped, not from ordering. I am debating whether or not to just cancel and reorder using my normal debit. I have NEVER had this problem before though 🙁

Yeah, except you're out REAL MONEY until Visa gets it sorted out. What if it doesn't get sorted out?

If I'm going to play with fire, I'd rather do so with e-money than real money.
