War criminal Hegseth has some odd, sadistic idea's about prayer ... He read a prayer he said was first given by a military chaplain

“Let every round find its mark against the enemies of righteousness and our great nation,” Hegseth prayed during the livestreamed service. “Give them wisdom in every decision, endurance for the trial ahead, unbreakable unity, and overwhelming violence of action against those who deserve no mercy.”

Unnamed chaplain, of course. I, for one, would love to know who this fictional military chaplain is so he can be booted out of at least the military.

These hardon Christians sure do get some orgiastic pleasure out of the violent imagery of the Old Testament, don’t they?

Trump wants to own and permanently occupy the moon?

When exactly did America “give up” the moon? Does it belong to Trump now?

He’s going to try to make the Moon the 51st state now, isn’t he?

While I think he pulled that one out of his ass, the tone isn’t too different from Civil War era thoughts and prayers.

hegseth's pastor prayed for the death of democratic Senate candidate for Texas, James Talarico.

Dems win the shutdown standoff TSA funded. ICE and CBP can eat a bag.

Dipshit repugs finally do what's right, after 2 months of cruelty and petty dysfunction. *golfclap*

"After two months of unyielding negotiations, both parties gave up early Friday on reaching a grand accord to reform and fund the Department of Homeland Security.

Instead, Senate Republicans accepted what Democrats have been offering for weeks — cash for all of DHS except for ICE and part of Customs and Border Protection.

The Senate approved the funding package by a voice vote and is now expected to begin a scheduled two-week recess. The House could vote as soon as Friday, before the shutdown would break the record Saturday night for the longest funding lapse of any federal agency in U.S. history."

Repug governance is a painful disease.

So dems *do* know how to negotiate. Sort of. Sometimes. Maybe.

Who in the party managed to exhibit competence? (As in, who made sure everyone was holding out and stuck to it)

If the Trump goons are disappointed by something you want to do, all the more reason to do it.

The US has criticised Sir Keir Starmer’s plan to bring EU rules back on to the UK statute book, calling it “a problem”.

Warren Stephens, the US ambassador to Britain, said the Trump administration was concerned that the Prime Minister’s attempt to build closer ties with Brussels could disrupt America’s lucrative trade with the UK.

Sir Keir is looking to reintroduce an initial tranche of 76 EU directives into UK law, mostly covering farming and food, to help land a deal with Brussels on agricultural trade.

However, Mr Stephens warned this may not be viewed favourably by the White House.]

Ah, Jesus was famously a lover of violence, saying "those who live by the sword are totally bad-ass" unto his flock.

Yea so what? This is the same administration who sanctions people for calling out Israel genocide, objects to those who block hate speech and won't tolerate blocking foreign actors from interfering with elections... If they object it is probably a good thing.
