This is Scott Kirby rolling an info grenade into the West Wing to get the attention of people looking at (barely) sub $100 WTI for now thinking things are going mostly ok.

Refined product prices for stuff like jet fuel have risen much more than the oil futures and actual shortages are looming in Asia and Europe. US airlines won't be able to fly to those places if they can't buy jet fuel once there...
 
If Trump is operating with dementia, getting active Alzheimer meds and the whole cabinet knows about it ... is there a path to legal action on the cabinet post-Trump? For not acting, 25th or otherwise?

The better way forward would be for enough Republicans to stop being shitbags (l o l), impeach/convict/remove both Trump and Vance, and choose a new Speaker who isn't Mike Johnson such that the new speaker would become president per presidential succession rules. Keeping Vance in the WH and any of the other corrupt and incompetent shitheads near the levers of power is just bad, and removing Trump alone won't fix much of anything. At most, they might become a more "respectable" bunch (used in the loosest sense of the word) because they won't have verbal diarrhea on camera and Truth Social every 3 minutes. But they're all still just as evil and awful people as Trump himself.

But I think that'll only happen when pigs fly.

Republicans have had 10 years now to make the right choice. The moral, ethical, pro-American, and humane choice. They not only consistently choose the alternative, the make sure it keeps getting worse.

There is no civil discourse... where they do not escalate towards war and death.
