So the "let's make sure this is legal" was nothing but a ruse. I'm so surprised.

So obviously Trump has little ability to do math. He now wants to give every american family in the usa 2000 dollars from tariff revenue. That would be approx 260 billion. The expected tariff (and this number is always floating since they constantly change tariff) is around $280 billion. In effect he would wipe out all revenue from Tariff while causing massive damage to the economy and alienating any allies usa has left.

Not just that. They're going to be slow to lower prices because supply chains have already been disrupted, driving up costs, and they are going to continue pricing in "mad king issues throwing more wrenches into the system".

Do we think Trump will stop doing/saying things the electorate is not going to be happy with? I do not.
His big lesson from the shutdown appears to be if he puts the screws to voters painfully enough that he can make D politicians unhappy. This is not a recipe for electoral success.

Why am I imagining the hamster wheel that's Trump's brain going at full speed, trying to figure out how he can grift millions from tax payers after he's out of office. He's obviously jealous.
I'm not saying this is a real thing, in fact I won't even Google it to find out it's just made up shit. But for some reason I know Trump and his supporters believe it.
Meanwhile, Trump's $5 million weekly golf trips are totally fine, because he didn't install a $350 MILLION dollar basketball court like Barack did. I Googled and saw pictures of the "basketball court" and was flabbergasted. It looked like a $2500 setup, maybe. MAGAs are right, Obama was clearly the most wasteful president ever.

If you dig very slightly deeper, you'll find that the $376 million White House renovation project that occurred during Obama's term was approved and funded by Congress in 2008, before Obama even took office, and that the actual amount spent on the basketball court is faaaaaar less than that number.
But you can also simply look at the $230 million Trump is trying to grift from the DOJ.
