Average home price in DC according to Zillow was 582k.
Redfin has the median home price in September at 675k.

The greater metro area probably has a floor of around 350-400k I'd guess for a very simple starter home.

I'm in the burbs of the burbs of the burbs of DC and my home price has shot up since I bought it in 2020 by about 50%, which is insane.

They don't have to buy a house in DC though, they can rent, and use their generous MRA to cover that.
 
Congress Critters can also take advantage of the Tax Break(s) provided by IRS Publication 463.


We used this on the SSBN Submarines having two crews ( We called it the FBM Deduction). As our Tax Home assignment was the submarine but when the opposite crew took it to sea we had no home. This allowed us to take tax deductions while being away from the submarine "Tax Home" while the other crew had it on patrol.

He's a bottomless well of neediness. He's might be trolling the NFL. He never got over being denied ownership of an NFL franchise. The NFL should continue telling Trump to get bent. I hope they keep up that tradition.
