AFAIK ... Nobody in the Administration has given out any verifiable proof that any of these boats were drug smugglers.
Let's assume there is actual proof. When the boats hit US water, they are stopped by the Coast Guard, they are arrested, interrogated for more information on the cartel, who they’re affiliated with and then tried in a court. If guilty, they are imprisoned.

You've almost tripped over the point. Everyone who lives in a society earns the benefit from it, by virtue of the work they perform. You're benefitting from a socialist program whereupon the work you performed earned the benefit of program. Other people assist in paying for that program through their taxes. Tricare is about as close as you can get to a single payer healthcare system in the US (trades blows with medicaid depending on what's getting denied at any given moment).
But somehow the difficulty trans vets have accessing care isn’t worth your time. I guess they haven’t “earned every bit”?

In my time in the military there were always a subset of people who were there for the violence or to play Rambo or whatever.
