Trump removing Lisa Cook from the Fed board under extremely dubious circumstances.... I can't white put my finger on why this person was targeted.

The way I heard it from Meidas is that she's been fired for no other reason than being a Biden pick who also just so happens to be black. As well, Trump wants an obedient sycophant in her place so Trump can have more control over the Fed Board just like he wants total control of everything and anything else that gets in his way, in spite of her firing being illegal. But when has that ever stopped Trump for trying?

Reminder: A large number of officials in the Trump regime have glorified aspects of Nazi Germany and Nazi era elements have been sprinkled throughout their playbook.
But you can't call them Nazis unless they're from Austria-Hungary region near Germany. Otherwise, Greenman will get mad and vote for them more; these are just sparkling fascists.

Unitary executive theory, which the Federalist Society ghouls have pushed for years, was always bullshit - the founding fathers did not set up a system for the president to act like a temporary monarch or dictator. And this is just more Trump saying things to justify himself in his classic "people are saying" line...

IMO we don’t get to where we are today without the federalist society pushing their bs philosophy and it started with Scalia.

My question is; was this the plan all along? If so, who is behind it. Or was this all just coincidences and a snowballing affect?

I image the plan was to make it easier to roll back regulations and dismantle things Republicans didn't like. That's easier to do when you claim all executive power is vested in the president.

A large bureaucracy filled with technical experts who are doing their jobs to comply with the various laws and congressional guidance who are also protected from arbitrary removal is a big block on that power.

I also think that the Federalist Society goons don't understand (or care for) Chesterton's Fence. So many programs and whatnot were started for very specific reasons. But they want to tear all that down because they think nothing bad will happen and care not for the original reason for starting those programs and departments.

His target audience is people who are more than willing to take his word for it and go no further, regardless of what it's about. That's how his mind works.

New York Times feature editorial supports the notion that if Trump is allowed to remove Lisa Cook without evidence that there's a legitimate cause to do so it would be tragic for the country.

To keep the Fed focused on the nation’s long-term interests, Congress created a board of seven members who are appointed to 14-year terms. Both the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 and the Banking Act of 1935 decreed that the president could fire members of the Federal Reserve Board only “for cause.” Adolph Miller, one of the first people appointed to the Fed’s board, insisted that this clause be restated in the 1935 bill, as he feared “political control” of the Fed. He believed the board should be independent, with members who considered their work as “a great public responsibility which runs to the public rather than to an official of the administration of the day.”
A Comment I think is very accurate:

I really think that the focus on Trump is seriously misguided; it's really the architects of Project 2025 pulling the strings. It is they who should be the subject of scrutiny and criticism. Trump, now in his late 70s, has never demonstrated any in-depth, informed, or educated understanding of issues, leave alone complex issues. And he is not about to start now. This is a man who can barely string together coherent sentences and is completely at sea on the basic rules of grammar. His claim to fame (reality TV show) was a work of fiction as was his ghost-written 'Art of the Deal'. It is impossible to believe that he is behind the systematic dismantling of formerly revered institutions and pillars of American democracy. In short, he is same clueless, self-centered, and arrogant person that he has always been. It's more than time to call the architects and the right-wing ideologues behind Project 2025 to account . . .

How on earth did we get here where a bankrupt convicted felon, liar, cheat sued more than 2000 times, is making huge moves affecting the world economy. I grieve my country and its monstrous embrace of this charlatan.

As I have said multiple times

The only way to curb this shitty behavior is either jail or very stiff fines

Since the supreme court is giving trump free rein to act like a complete dickhead. Then huge lawsuits for the victims. And this goes for cops also

Gosh, wow, who could have foreseen such a circumstance with all the rigor and diligence DOGE was applying in their first few months of activity, and all those highly-qualified, skilled workers Herr Musk hired.
