Trump isn't pressing the TXGOP to redistrict because he thinks there isn't going to be an election.

While true, he's also all over the map (no pun intended) on these things. The changes being made to the WH aren't ones that someone makes when they plan on leaving on 1-20-2029.

And, his efforts in TX just make whatever election that might take place absolutely pointless.

Usually, if you're trying to ensure you stay in power illegally forever, you try to do popular things, not make yourself insanely unpopular. If you're in charge, the latter in combination with staying in power is a good way to see yourself the victim of, shall we say, extra-constitutional measures.

The goal is of course to have sham elections like in Russia
Again, that requires keeping your keys to power happy. Putin doesn't stay in charge because he's unpopular. He maintains enough public support and he keeps his power base satisfied.

Meanwhile, Trump and Co are busy pissing on everyone, and his congressional keys to power don't enjoy the same level of personal protection that he enjoys, and many of his economic partners are likely going to be FO real soon after the FA with Republicans for so long.

I somewhat disagree.
People will believe what they're told that is what is working for Putin, a stranglehold on media. Now watch what Trump is doing with the media. Choking that bitch out.

Yeah, modern dictators aren't what I would call "popular". They have a sort of fake/forced popularity but their population generally fucking hates them. It's just force that keeps them popular.

Trump wants regular health updates from Murdoch in a deal that will delay the News Corps boss testimony in Trump’s lawsuit against WSJ

Trump should have to report on the size of his cankles weekly.

Murdoch - 94 but exercises, isn't obese, just fine mentally.

Trump - 79 no exercise, greasy fast food diet, dementia, and under enormous stress in fear of his abuse of minors being exposed.

John Cornyn urges Trumps FBI to "capture" runaway Democrats

Governor Hot Wheels has no authority over another state. Can't be authoritarian without abusing authority.

Cornyn seems worried he is going to lose his primary. Ever since that POS Paxton decided to run, Cornyn has stepped up his game from batshit to batshit on steroids.

An elected US Senator is urging federal law enforcement to "track down and arrest" state elected officials who have broken no laws and are a danger no one? Just another day in a cult.

That's assuming him or those he listens to are thoughtful and intelligent. He certainly isn't, and I'm not convinced the latter are either. They're certainly crafty when it comes to devising this decades-long plot and carrying it out, I'll give them that. But their goals are where the flaws lay.

I think a time will come in the next few years where they'll try implementing the next phase of their plot, and when the country finally unites in opposition it will all come toppling down.

If there's one thing history has shown us, it's that everything seems inevitable until it doesn't. Then the rats won't be able to scurry away from the wreckage fast enough.

Diddy appeals to Trump for pardon ahead of sentencing.

Will Trump pardon another fellow sex offender? Diddy requests Diddler grant him a pardon!

What is Trump charging for pardons these days? For low low price of $2 million.....anything is possible. Everyone knows Trump is corrupt and open for business. Ask Mayor Adams.

Know nothing Trump is at it again putting himself in charge of stuff he will screw up:

I think he’s probably envisioning greater parades and ovations than Hitler received at the ‘36 games in Berlin.

BLS data is now worthless. If you get fired for putting out data that says things the president wants to hear the only logical assumption going forward is this is happening.
I would hope one of these firee's would sue Trump personally for character defamation. He only uses the best words to tear people down.

are you ignoring the fact that Republicans love being pissed on? They've been happily begging for more going on 4 decades now.

Yes, some percent love to be pissed on. But I don't think we need to doom that everything is lost forever. Just look at results of recent special elections and whatnot. 2 years is a long time electorally speaking, and people are already extremely pissed off.

Well now we know why it was necessary to cut scientific research and fire over 275,000 govt employee...

Trump certainly runs usa like your typical exec who fire people so the executive branch can have larger parties.

We are lucky that trump is old. Had he been as young and healthy as hitler, the damage could've been much worse.
1: He is not alone. MAGA Nazism is far beyond him. It's an entire organization doing the damage.
2: Social media will continue to exist and radicalize people. As bad or worse than they are today.

We are not lucky. Trump is merely the beginning of this madness.
