Some more analysis of the BBB:

The top 10% of taxpayers would save $10,000 a year under the budget bill – while the top 0.1% of taxpayers would save nearly $100,000 a year, according to the Yale Budget Lab.

“Changes to taxes and Medicaid and SNAP spending proposed by the Senate budget reconciliation bill would result in a decline of 2.9 percent (about $700) in income for the bottom quintile, but an increase of 1.9 percent (about $30,000) for the top 1 percent,” the report found.

Musk is so smart he thought Trump would lower the deficit and fix things? LMAO!

Musk should have thought about this before he bought Trump the presidency. The Ketamine Kid has achieved awareness. Too bad he wasted more than $250 million on electing MAGAs to get there. I guess Elon needs to start paying people $100 not to vote MAGA. It seems Elon wants to start a new party ... What will Musk call his party? The Spectrum?

"No taxes on tips" = only up to a certain amount
"No taxes on overtime" = depends on your job and income
"No taxes on social security" = no changes

And it goes away after a few years. A gimmick. A political bribe.

So, a person who works and pays federal taxes is going to leave the same amount of tip for a tip worker when they aren't paying federal taxes? Don't think so, Donnie. You just condemned wait staff to smaller tips from people. And employers will force more employees to work for tips so they can pay a reduced wage.

Trump's $5 trillion dollar debt bomb is polling at 23%

MAGA: - "I voted for the guy with six bankruptcies because I figured he’d learned how to avoid screwing up a seventh time. Boy was I wrong!"

It seems Trump is responsible for 25% of the national debt in just 4 years. It took 250 years to accumulate the other 75% and 44 different Presidents. Republicans are capitalists when times are up and whiny socialists when the market dives/crashes. Privatize the gains; socialize the losses.

It should be noted that Musk never took back his comments that Trump's name was all over the Epstein files. And Trump never threatened to sue Musk either, not once! So, Yes Elon, about those Epstein files?

Lauren Boebert casts doubt on moon landing

Trump will now assign her as a NASA Senior Technical Leader.Remember when America was the Intellectual Leader in the world?

When you don’t know how anything works, everything looks like a conspiracy.

Boebert: - "That’s why I love Jesus, I love the Bible, because that is truth and that is everlasting, and that’s something that will never change."

Moon landings fake.

God real. Okaaaay!

As much as I can't stand her, I believe her constant smugness even tho she's almost never right is damn impressive. She strikes out every time I see a video of her yapping about something she doesn't know shit about. And she still has a complete arrogance about herself. When I read she had to take the GED tests 4 times to pass them, I couldn't fathom that not being a made up story by someone who hates her. I fucked around and ditched most of my 4.5 years in high school and ended up having to get my GED. I aced it without trying my 1st time.

She's a special kind of dumb and would be a perfect fit for Trump's cabinet, and she calls herself a Mega MAGA or something stupid lol. The crazy thing is there are tens of millions of American's who agree with her here. Between her we didn't land on the moon nonsense and MTG claiming the Democrats have a machine to control the weather we're fucking doomed.

The Senate has been up all night and gotten shockingly little done even by their standards. Looks like Thune needs to break Murkowski's vote loose but that depends on the carve outs he made for her not getting nuked by the parliamentarian. Which has at least partially happened. The more consequential amendments have not yet been voted upon either.

I still think this will all be for nothing. They'll keep at least 50 in line. And VP Bowman Vance will break the tie.

If Thune had the votes they would be voting. Indeed he might get there though the shape of the bill could change somewhat with the amendments that are on offer and whatever deals he needs to cut. There is a slight chance this whole deal could collapse and they have to go back to the drawing board. They will eventually pass something that carries forward most of the TCJA tax cuts but beyond that I don't know.

Appears Thune is presently still stuck trying to peel off Paul or Murkowski. He has four nos (Tillis, Collins, Paul, and Murkowski) right now he needs to get down to three.

Thune "thinks" he has a deal. Remains to be seen what that is or means for the existing content of the bill.

Real amateur hour stuff to bring a bill to the floor as majority leader when you can't be sure if you have the votes.

As I understand it an amendment that makes substantial changes to the bill is being written. If anybody knows what's in it they are not talking yet. The problem of course is that one compromise could push votes off the other end. He has so far not been great at threading the needle but he's still likely to get something done eventually.

Green energy excise tax is out. Tax credit phase out is more gentle.

Medicaid cut delay for high poverty states.

Ban on gender affirming care out.

Medicaid penalty for states who use their own money for migrant care out.

SNAP cuts delayed for some states.

It’s ok for people in some states to starve but not others is quite the pro life position.
