I don't think he will ever drop below 30%. His cult is too stubborn to blame him when he fucks up.
We also shouldn’t discount that he has a massive media ecosystem behind him that makes it so right wing voters either don’t even know these problems exist or if they do, blame them on someone else.

Now of course they largely choose to be lied to on purpose (see Fox after 2020) but it’s definitely helpful to have nonstop propaganda for you inundating the media landscape.

The vast majority of the material consequences have not appeared for them personally yet. There are still customers, stuff to buy in stores, prices have mostly not spiked yet as inventory is burned, etc. We've just had a stock market rout and that's been enough to sink his econ numbers to the low 30s and dropping. The next few months are going to be very educational for millions and millions of people.
I doubt it changes much.

Polls have always consistently underestimated his support.

Remember the FOX NEWS poll showing Kamala ahead? LOL

His floor will never change, in fact has gone up every election cycle. Somehow Dems remain even more unpopular.

"This time will be different"

Ok.

The level of stupidity there is off the scale.

70% of those farmers workforce is undocumented (illegal) immigrants but they voted for Trump knowing he was going to target illegal immigrants. They are now likely to go bankrupt as the illegal immigrants are not turning up for work.

Personally I'd rather have voted for a dementia ridden Biden than destroy my income creating venture.

I can't stand Melania and have nothing in common with her except one thing. We're both looking forward to the same funeral.

And I think it is about to get a LOT uglier. At this point shortages and empty shelves are already baked in given the collapse in container traffic.

I wonder what people will think in about a month when this really starts hitting everywhere.
TBH, I am looking forward to it. I'm hoping that 85+% of the adult populace of the USA will be steaming mad at Trump by summer. I don't care about empty shelves. I'll make do, I always have. I don't GAS. I want regret to fill the air. It will make me happy! :p

Funny, I got the feeling around a month ago that CBS news was way too Trumpie and I started watching NBC news (national and local) and no CBS.

Except for 60 Minutes. They have had some segments that are anything but state media.

I sometimes watch ABC nightly news depending on my schedule (it's on an hour before NBC's).

Any of the TV network news programs are going to have some stuff that infuriates me, and often at least partly because they don't go to the bone but gloss over or ignore what's fundamental. But I watch it anyway because I need to know what's going on out there. Well, a lot of the time. Lately I sometimes don't.

60 Minutes is why Paramount is ditching CBS because it pissed Fuhrer off and he sued them. Paramount forced CBS to settle and that's why it's about to become state media when Larry Ellison buys the network. The head of 60 Minutes just quit last week. The American media is terrible but it's about to get far worse when 60 Minutes gets turned into Trump friendly puff pieces. I'm sure Frontline will be next.

Chuck Schumer sent Donald Trump eight sternly worded questions! Wow Chucky. You're an embarrassment. And so is the entire political party which has not removed you from power. You are a joke and so is the establishment Democratic party. Y'all put the PP in pathetic let me tell you

At one point she was ahead in some of the polls, and I think they were accurate. What I'm still trying to figure out is why millions of people decided to just not vote. That will always remain one of life's greatest mysterious. Most of us didn't underestimate his cult, they're extremely vocal so it's almost impossible to not notice them. But many did underestimate people who don't even like Trump but hate black people so much they couldn't vote for Harris.

It took a black female running against him, and he still barely won.

She was ahead in the polls when she was saying she'd stop price gouging on groceries. Then she decided to take a rightward turn chasing ungettable GOP voters, likely at the insistence of the same losers who advised Clinton's disastrous campaign.

They'll never blame Trump. There is a lot of economic angst but none of the blame goes to Trump. Last couple of weeks out here in San Antonio I have had two random right wingers come and start bitching about Biden randomly to me, even here never had that happen until recently. Guess because I'm white he thought I was a white supremacist too? One was in a Mexican restaurant while I was getting my little niece and nephew some candy after eating and all I could think is if you hate brown people so much what the fuck are you doing in here eating their cuisine?

There is not much the minority party can do.... or do you know of a better tactic other than whining about what others do.

I think a lot had to do with war in gaza and while the democrats would not condemn it; of course the obvious that Trump would be far worse never cross their thoughts while they were protesting the democrats repsonse.

Mentioned plenty of tactics. But I can also give you one big hint - which left of center politicians are filling stadiums and getting super high approval ratings. Imagine if the leadership had an organized message in that direction? The attention they could draw, the protests they could get behind, the general strike we all need? Whose senate had at least a non nominal number of Dems voting for most of Trump's nominees? That's your party, not mine.

Imagine choosing defending Chucky sending a strongly worded eight question letter though at times like these to make any damn point. That's just weird.

He fucking sued CBS over the interview 60 Minutes did with VP Harris before the election. And Paramount made CBS settle, fucking cucks.
IIRC, 60 Minutes offered to interview Trump and he refused/declined. What's his fucking beef?

As of Tuesday the 1st 100 days are over. I figure some organized resistance will start to coalesce.

We need to develop a national boycott tableau in resistance to the depredations of this federal administration. Make commercial entities fear the consequences of them caving into Trump's nefarious machinations. Paramount should be right up there if they water down 60 Minutes.

There's an article right now on front page of online New York Times about 60 Minutes airing their worry about Paramount influencing the program. Says that Scott Pelley explained this right on the program Sunday night. They didn't give a date for some reason (i.e. was that tonight or last Sunday?). I watched tonight's program and didn't see that. I turned it off at 7:53PM, which is usually the point where nothing of interest ensues. Maybe Scott came on after the ensuing commercial break and made a statement and I missed it. I suppose that's what happened.
