Its about time people woke up, but do you have a link to the actual source and numbers? The latest I saw from a couple of days ago showed Trump's approval rating in the mid to high 40% range. This is simply astounding to me. With the things he and Musk are doing, his approval should be in the 30% range coming only from the MAGA cult. I guess a lot of even middle of the road voters don't really care who gets hurt by the cuts until it actually affects them personally.

Most Americans haven’t even begun to feel the effects of Trump 2.0 yet…

He is not trying to win a favourability contest in Europe...

LOL at Spain and Italy—even the countries with the most old folks who have “fond” memories of fascist rule are souring on Trump. Italy was positively gaga over MAGA when I visited in 2016. He was seen as Europe’s savior back then. My have times changed.

It was against my trading rules but last week (Wednesday, IIRC) I sold my stock. I felt, figured and decided I would not wait for my rules' SELL SIGNAL to dump my position. Dang, it was prescient. I am only ~5% off the market top of Feb. 19. I'm OK if I stay in cash for a looong time. It's a relief right now.

I reduced our US equities exposure and my husband cashed out a bunch of company stock last month. So far appears to have been a good decision. I still own plenty of US stocks but it's a little less painful right now and I have more cash at the ready which I am fine with for now.

I gotta say it's unreal that in less than six weeks of trump, that the new Canadian prime minister is saying that Canada will never become part of the US due to threats.

Probably true but some of the Canadian provinces can secede by plebiscite according to Peter Zeihan. He said it's not likely to happen.

I noticed this the other day: There have not been 2 up days in a row in the S&P500 since the market top of February 19.

The MAGAs are adamant that Canada and Greenland will become states or there will be severe consequences from Diaper Don. It's weird how the they're so for this when both countries have said they have no interest in becoming part of the US. And it's weird how they're fine with him trying to force Canada into this. They instantly support any crazy ass idea he comes up with. I'd bet money before he brought it up most MAGAs had never even heard of Greenland, and probably still don't know anything about it. But now it's suddenly vital it become part of the USA? LOL

Sitting on fence now. Always seemed that things would have been a little better if I stayed in over the long haul, but I really don't have a long haul anymore.

What would you recommend as safer investments outside that US market right now?

I went into European equity and bond funds. I am not by any means a professional however so YMMV.

Thanks. Just good to know. Talking to financial professionals shortly.

You know, since the Trump/Musk presidency is just such a clusterfuck of proportions nobody has been alive to see yet, there are so many things going on and what about the government shut down? Will the Dems hold and not give any help? Do the repubs have the discipline to all bow down to Trump? Something they have gotten even better at lately than the already good job they've been doing

MAGA is a religion. Trump is their Cheeto Jesus.
Anything he says is the word of god.

We follow a retirement group for govt folks and they recommended moving 1/2 of our retirement money into the international fund we have available. Cut my losses today by 40% over leaving my funds in US small and large cap funds.

I get the notion that any bad thing Trump will unleash on the nation will, from Trump's cultist hordes either be met with *crickets* and/or excuses proportional to or above and beyond the absurdity and weirdness of Trump's magical "now you see'um now you don't" policy positions.

Although I do get a kick out of seeing how utterly ridiculous and hilarious it is of the depths to which FOX's trained monkeys have to dig down into to make excuses for Trump's atrocious behavior of which makes them appear cringe worthy as performers and laughable as F list tellers of scary tall tales that Murdoch's script writers come up with on a daily/hourly basis.

As an addendum, I have to ask: "So who's the communists now MAGAts, huh? HUH? Fucking pinko commie Putin Pushovers."

There's a fair chance we get a bounce this week, maybe tomorrow.

Couple of new polls today showing Trump approval dropping like a fucking rock.
Who else can anybody blame? Trumputin and Leon. Everybody knows Don is trying to get cozy with Vlad.

Trump may keep shadow boxing the tariffs. Canada's not, neither is China. They just levied retaliatory tariffs, they aren't waiting to see what Don does.

Business dislikes uncertainty. It makes it hard for them to make business decisions if they don't know what conditions will be. Trump will not provide a sense of stability, it's anathema for him. He's actually a lousy businessman.
