Sorry, do I have this right? The US is going to have a 'do-over' of the withdrawal from Afghanistan? Because it wasn't done right the first time, the idea is to reinvade, in order to then (immediately?) withdraw again, but do the withdrawing bit better this time?
Are you also going to go into Vietnam again, so you can then leave again, but without all that embarrassing helicopters on the embassy roof stuff?

Our position as a first world nation has ended. We'll be lucky if we are only as corrupt and dysfunctional as Russia. With similar quality of life moving forward.

Who knew we could buzzsaw through all the goodwill and systems we built to benefit ourselves in such a short time frame?
Too much of a reliance on norms, too little congressional oversight, and too much executive power.
If I could snap my fingers, the US would move to a multiparty parliamentary system with far more representstives, where the executive becomes less relevant and less partisan, and the agencies are effectively overseen by a prime minister.

A little surprising it hadn't happened already. The last 20 years of so has shown that nuclear powers don't get invaded. You would think that after seeing Trump 1, they'd have realized that there would be a potential for Trump (or Trump-like) 2 with the way America's psychotic public votes.
