LOL just got my hair cut, and I've known the chick who cuts my hair since I was a kid, so we talk about life and I was telling her about my situation right now. She told me one of her clients, who is a hardcore Trumper, and also a federal employee, sold their house in a really nice/expensive area of MD (Bethesda) and moved to Deleware. They moved to Deleware because she could work remotely and the COL is peanuts compared to MD, especially that part of MD.

Well now she has to come back into the office full time and has absolutely no clue what she is going to do. Financially they cannot just move back into Bethesda as housing prices have gone up and they have their property in Deleware.

The only way this could get better is if she moves back and Elon fires her like a week later.
 
The reason Jeffries isn't talking to Johnson anymore is because he's not in charge of anything. A spending deal that addresses Dem demands will need to be cut with Trump himself. If Trump refuses then no money.

The only way I could see it working out is if any deal has to be re-upped every couple months so that deviation results in a near term shutdown. You obviously can't give somebody like Trump a year's worth of runway. Ditto for the debt celling.
