Hey man I wanted to ask you. Now that all this bullshit is coming your way as a federal contractor, what's up with your colleagues that voted for Trump? Are people giving them any shit? What are they saying? I would not be friendly to any of those folks if it wouldn't affect my own job.

I would get it too but I see the capitalists at work.
A decent sized sticker (12 x 3) is 10.99 plus 5.00 shipping plus tax and some other fee I never heard of, puts the total at 19.00 or so for one sticker.

I would be looking to get 10 or 20 to pass out but not for 200.00 or more.

Do you have a color laser printer? Do you have packing tape? Make your own stickers for free. Your sticker can’t have white in it though.

This is scarily close to actual Nazi shit. Jews, Muslims, atheists, anyone not struck with religious fervor and foaming at the mouth to guzzle Trump's shriveled sack will be purged. I'm legitimately afraid at this point.

There were some great points made on a Reddit thread that I came across: "People who do things like bring guns to health clinics and block medical workers from helping their patients will be pardoned and allowed to act freely, and we will be punished for trying to stop them." - found at r/FundieSnarkUncensored but it seems to have been removed?

That sums it up pretty well.

I don't think any of my colleagues actually voted for him. So far everyone I've talked to at work is basically facepalming about all of this stuff and everyone is really pissed that we may be losing our ability to work remotely. If that happens I am definitely going to see what other private jobs are out there. I'm not saying I will definitely leave but I have adjusted my lifestyle big time since I am now working remotely most of the time, and it's been a life saver because it started with Covid right when my 2nd son was born. Working from home has allowed my wife to go back to work because I can get the kids from school and they can be here while I work. We were planning on her going back full time next year when my youngest is in Kindergarten but if I go back fulltime into the office, that probably won't happen.

I do have one friend who is a republican and voted for Trump, but not like a MAGA and completely gone from reality, who is a federal employee. He is also a Marine who had been deployed years back. He was working remotely and also has a side business that he has been growing doing accounting for businesses over the past few years. Well now he has to go back full time into the office and is pissed about it. He lives like an hour or more total commute time, one way, to his job down in DC. He's in VA and has to drive to the Metro, then ride it for a long time to get to his job. Yesterday he actually decided to take the buyout and focus on his side business and see if he can grow it more and make it his full time job. He even knows it's risky because the money isn't approved yet, and because he doesn't know how his business will grow. He also has 2 kids and a wife.

He's the husband of my wife's best friend and my wife is like "well that is what they get for voting for Trump" and I can't say I disagree.

He's like a GS13 or something so he's making decent bank from the government.

It sounded like with him having to go into the office daily now, and him working on his side business as well, that he would have like absolutely no time to be home and be with his family, so he's taking this risk.

EDIT:

He hasn't told me this yet, it's just been from his wife texting my wife about it. But we don't talk daily or anything.

Well the official he attempted to fire basically told him to fuck off. The law is pretty clear so if he persists the TRO will come quickly.

He can get rid of her but he has to name a replacement who is confirmed by the Senate and then she departs as the law requires.
 
Right, all the money DOGE has “saved” is going to be paid out in lawsuits for the next several years. And better be a Dem POTUS in 2028 so all these traitors will be held accountable for their actions

I don't think the purpose is to 'save money', so much as just rip random pieces out of the machinery of government, in order to break it.

It's just bizarre. At least the previous version of the process, neo-liberalism, had some rhyme and reason to it, a supposed rationale of "private is better", so you shifted things to the private sector in the name of building a better economy for everyone. Now they seem to have given the pretence of even that figleaf ideology, and are just smashing things up more-or-less at random.

We have two different things at play here. 1) reactionary conservatives who want to turn poor people into Soylent Green 2) a ketamine addled maniac who believes the most absurd conspiracy theories on the internet.

I know some people think #2 isn't real and that there must be some nefarious master plan that Musk is hatching because it is so difficult to believe.
