Weaponizing federalism may not work anymore, now that Musk is inside the treasury and can probably short circuit select regional federal reserve banks and crash state economies once banks can no longer borrow or move funds based on zip code.

Selectively defaulting on US Treasury obligations is also a good way to sink the value of the dollar completely.

The "upside" is that they plan to use this to support their actions against trans & non-binary people by pretending there's no data available to support transition as the most effective form of treatment (since, you know, the actual data is very, very firmly against their stance)

I think you overstate things when you say the military is "largely on the other side".
 
I do think secession is likely the only way to save some blue states under this administration. Not sure if we have any governors that will realize that in time.

You're right, I'm just assuming. I think we can agree it's over 50%, no? Whatever number it is, certainly more than enough to quell whatever unrest arrises.

No, we can't agree, and even many of those conservatives will generally hold the Constitution and their duty to the nation in higher regard than a disgusting bloated draft-dodger see-you-next-Tuesday.

The number of total active duty service members is about 2M and infantry makes up a small fraction of that. National guard is another half million and same for them. Also likely some states would refuse mobilization orders.

No, the military does not have the resources to quell mass unrest in more than a couple states at the same time.
 
Funny hearing how everyone complains about Trump but they never complained when Biden ran our country into the ground, shut down the oil pipeline, and disregarded the immigration laws. I thought if you did not like a law you tried to have it changed, For the last four years Biden did not try to change the immigration laws. He just blatantly defied them.

I want to agree with you and be totally wrong, but this Trump is not the 2016 one, which despite his attitude was thinking on americans... now his team is filled with oligarchs and radicals. With the way of thinking that resembles the axis and the soviets in their worst aspects regarding the humans.

And even worse... with robots and automatization some of the ones in charge thinks that serfs are no longer needed. Of course is insane, but if insane people are in charge...

And even not being from USA is sparing us with that sick mentality.
