Well that should launch his popularity ratings to infinity and beyond, yeah? And that should really hit it good for those Republicans up for election this year. And what's really funny about that veto, is the vast number of Trump's chumps that are going to get hit with the interstellar rate hikes in their medical insurance premiums. Go for it Donald, the Democrats are all hoping for you to pull the trigger on that especially if you do it a couple of weeks into September this year. What's that you say? You're going to postpone elections this year? Yeah, go for it. Fuck'in knucklehead would do it too.

Americans don't really need more protein, and people's obsession with it is just a new fad - the supplement industry rejoices with a new angle on their grifting.

What people really need are just more fruits and vegetables in their diets, and generally less meats overall (especially red meat).

“It is now the independence and credibility of the Department of Justice that are in question.”

These things, historically, can be weird. People seem like a wall, until it rapidly collapsed (ie, Nixon's support).

Anything that fractures the Republican caucus is good, and this isn't the only sign. We have seen a number of discharge petitions make it to the floor and pass, in spite of opposition from Johnson (ACA subsidies and Epstein files come to mind). The only tactical question, because negotiations are multifaceted in the legislature, Democrats have little real power, and things don't move at the speed of posting, is what to come out with publicly when opposing Trump as a Democratic party leader when you're also trying to peal off Republicans for key bills and oversight that you might be able to achieve in the various ongoing budget bills and discharge petitions.
 
The death cult continues: the EPA will no longer consider externalities (ie, people dying) when considering pollution limits, only the costs to businesses.

This will likely be quickly struck down as it clearly violates SCOTUS precedent. (Written by Scalia, no less!)

Who knows if SCOTUS Calvinballs its way to overturning that precedent though.
