Not surprisingly I guess, the MAGAs on X are all fully supporting JD here, they seem to know 100% the boat was full of drugs and everyone on it was a cartel member. So much for due process and innocent until proven guilty. Many are commenting that this is how future encounters with boat loads of brown people should be carried out.

If anyone hasn't been watching the new season of South Park, all 4 episodes they've really been shitting on Trump and his cabinet. Matt & Tray making JD into Tatoo from Fantasy Island is damn hilarious. I hope the entire season's about Trump and co. There's no way there won't be an RFKJ episode.

South Park is really trying to drill into our heads that Trump is actually satan. They can’t emphasize the point any more than they are.

Trump says he is bringing back manufacturing to America.

475 arrested including South Koreans with work visas training American workers.

Super genius, sharp as a tack. His fucking MIT uncle must've been the family outlier

Where the work Visa's still valid? Or had they expired?

"In the future, the Seoul government said it would work with companies to minimize legal risks by reviewing the visa status of Korean workers sent to the U.S. to assist American investment projects."

This quote tells me that Hyundai and LG might been been playing a little "fast and loose" with work Visa's in the US.

Seoul Says Deal Reached With U.S. to Release Workers Detained in Hyundai Raid

With a large corporation like Hyundai or LG there is no excuse for any of their South Korea employees onsite in Georgia not to have valid US work Visa's for training US workers.

And clearly the best way to handle the situation was to throw the employees in jail for their employers fuck ups. (If the employers actually fucked up) I haven't seen nearly enough verifiable information either way.

Glad to see you completely accept what the administration is telling you.

Good job, you can have a cookie.

Has Hyundai, LG or the South Korean government claimed that the allegations are untrue?

Maybe, but it’s just conjecture on your part. Also given this administration’s history of retaliation why wouldn’t the companies and the South Korean government just try to move on as quickly as possible regardless of the merit of the underlying claims by the administration?

What evidence would you want to see that the LG and Hyundai committed Visa fraud with their workers onsite?

So. You are going to trust the trump admin on this one?

How about Tom Homan saying if you look like an illegal you will be arrested

How about this article

So someone who may or may not have dotted all the I or crossed all the T on a form is now subject to be tossed in jail

Go fuck off

Trump booed at the US Open. The majority of the country hates Trump. So why the |}## didn’t the majority of the country vote to throw him out? This is maddening.

The price of eggs were too high, the loss of freedom wearing a mask during a pandemic was too great, and the Democratic candidate was too not a white male. Those are the exact reasons a few million people spread out over swing states had for voting in favor of fascism.

I asked you first.
I don’t know what game you’re playing here, but nobody commits 400 visa infractions for a major, major plant project with $2.1 billion in tax incentives on the line. It doesn’t happen. Either they were assured at some point (perhaps by the previous Administration or state officials) that everything was in order, or else there was enough experience between their US executive team, US legal team, and auditors that everything was being done “status quo” and there was no risk of enforcement action.

I think we have enough experience with Trump 2.0 that this action was taken either at the behest of another rival automaker (gee, who do you think that is?) or as a punishment for some other perceived slight. We have a mob boss in charge in the White House. This was the equivalent of sending the goons to break a few windows and break a few kneecaps.

To believe anything else is just naïvety.

The majority of the well-heeled folks in Arthur Ashe stadium certainly appear to hate Trump (even the ones who voted for his tax policies.) Can’t really say the reaction would be the same in flyover country.

Funny that is your take on that Quote, where Trump has revolked north of 500 thousand immigrants legal status and deporting them, for no real legimate reason, across the country. It must be that there had to be a problem with the status of those work visas, and couldn't possibly be shady shit from Trump and his administration. It couldn't possibly be that the Seoul government's purpose of working with companies to minimuze legal risks, is to protect their Korean citizens, and has nothing to do with actualy legitimate problems with those work visas, specially those that are legitimately expired, is just due to missing paperwork.

Are you even aware that the company play a large roll in work visas, and "IF" there are any issuess with their worker's work visas, that it is 100% due to the companies dropping the ball in summitting the paperwork. In the past, the goverment would work with these companies to correct the paperwork issue, as it's really only a clerical problem, which could include fines on the company, with nobody being deported for such a bullshit reason. But not the Trump's administratin, they are looking for any reason to deport immigrants, as well as making up and creating reasons out of thin air, so they can meet their bullshit deportation totals, even when it's not the fault of the immigrant or there is no real wrong doing taking place.

Immigrants working on expired visa's due to their employer's negligence is a nationwide issue, and has nothing to do with the size of the corporation. however, raids of this magnitude seem to have everything to with companies being foreign owned, specially when US companies are just as neglilgent, if not more so.

Hell, most companies, specially larger ones, can't even keep basic employee safety records (training) up to date, which basically nothing more than having the employees sign a roster that they where present during the monthy/annual safety meeting/class, and maybe a short quiz. I know, lets start arresting all workers for the companies negligence, and not hold those who really are at fault accountable. We won't even talk about the racist aspect of what's going on with these "focused" immigrant raids.

Can confirm.
For American citizens that "look illegal", your normal id means nothing.
Your social security card means nothing.

Instructions are to now carry a passport where ever you go.

"Dont have a passport (because why would everyone need a passport)?"

You will be detained.
You may even be shipped out of state.
