Are we the baddies?

Weren't there all sorts of crazy right-wing conspiracy theories about FEMA running internment camps? Now they are actually doing it - really is the case that 'every accusation is a confession'.

Something I was reading suddenly bought to my mind Trump's executive order over-ruling 'birth right citizenship', and I found myself wondering what was decided about that, did the Supreme Court ever rule on it? On googling it was very surprised to find it still hasn't been settled yet.

How the hell can it take so long to decide if the President can, with a stroke of his pen, negate something clearly stated in the Constitution itself? Is there really anything to debate there?

If the fact that it is publicly known that several of the justices have taken money and or gifts from people who have had cases before them and nothing has been done about it, then I hate to inform you that our Supreme Court has been compromised.

They did super quick come to the conclusion it’s ok to deport people to some of the worst places on the planet even if their country of origin is on a different continent because well no reasons were given.
Technically they just lifted the injunction until they rule on the case but yea i think it is a horrible decision.

They telegraphed the way they would eventually rule. Also deporting someone to Libya or South Sudan is pretty irreversible. This court has shown an extreme reluctance to maintain the status quo while cases work their way through the system. Allowing the administration to move forward with extreme policies in the meantime.

Didn't say otherwise just stating the facts.

What signals made you say they telegraphed their decision??

Welcome to P&N.

Lifting an injunction like this causes irreparable harm to the people affected by the ruling. It's pretty hard to be present in your court case if you're on the other side of the world, in a politically unstable country, with no resources to make your way back.

Allowing the injunction to hold would also not cause irreparable harm or undue burden on the government.

So yes, the courts telegraphed how they plan on voting.
