Maybe Mika's site needs to update the routing to reflect the new IP.

I'll wait on the DNS change if possible. I still have 2 days of work units in cache.

Hey Wellcky, an email to ViRGE, Mika and LD may be in order. I think that any one of them can access the DNS tables for teamanandtech.com

Ahhh.... okay. A DNS would need to be modified to point to the new IP in order for the name to work. Sometimes it takes a little time for that to go into effect depending on the timings of the various zone transfers. I had just switched the process I have running for Sukhoi over to my own Setiqueue not an hour ago too...

I'll change it back to OK's new IP when it's done its WU tomorrow morning...

Brad updated the orangekid.teamanandtech.com at 1:30 today, but unfortunately it will take a little bit before the hostname expires out of everyones DNS cache.

By now I would think it would be good to go!

:( Can't hit it today with name or IP. :(

Hope this is resolved by Sunday night, when I get back to my herd. At least I'll have a nice dump!

DNS blackouts are a bear! Still no resolution on the @Home network.

/me seems to remember that there is an nslookup switch that will force a lookup clear down to the root, effectively refreshing the cache all through your DNS hierarchy.

Where's that TCP/IP book?

Not working for me either (Kansas Cable). I logged into my freesco box tried "traceroute orangekid.teamanandtech.com", and it gets as far as minnesota mediaone, but then times out. When I tried "traceroute www.orangekid.teamanandtech.com" it comes back real fast with the correct IP at the final line. So maybe, the original needs to be put in the DNS tables, and only the one was updated (the one with www in it). Just a guess and not even an educated one either.

I just came to the forums to see what was up. Just reinstalled my OS and was trying to install Seti on a second computer at home with no luck. The IP works. Without the www still does not work for me.
