Orange is red inside

So I just bought a bunch of oranges yesterday. This morning I cut one open and I see this? Apparently they are "blood oranges". Are these things okay to eat, and do they taste normal?

I'm kind of scared to eat it since I definitely purchased regular South African oranges... and the colour looks like some homeless dude took a syringe and injected his blood into it..

They're fine to eat. They're a little sweeter than regular oranges though.

Yeah, it didn't look dark-red enough to be a blood orange. It also tasted the exact same as a normal orange, which makes this whole thing slightly weirder.
