Orange Box

In tune with my apparent ability to stay well behind the times, I found a sealed copy of the Orange Box setting in my closet along with a few other titles even older. I think I got it at a black friday sale some year in the past. Should I play it or save it as a collectors item? I don't think I am a horder, but maybe.

You could

A) Open 'er up, fire up those discs and install the games (because those are some really good games), or

B) Save the box and just re-purchase it digitally when it goes on sale for $10 or whatever (which it inevitably will). You'll have a cheap digital copy of the game for yourself, and you still keep the unopened box which may, indeed, become a collector's item.

Probably better to keep it. At this point, Portal has been free twice, Team Fortress is free forever, and Half-Life 2 and the episodes are routinely cheaper then dirt.

I imagine there might even be some people around who got the games free in the Steam christmas event, but haven't been able to give them away because everybody has them.
