So the Judge says the email doesn't prove that there was any copying going on.
It's possible the guy just wanted Google to license the Java tech so they didn't have to re-invent the wheel.

I never said it was proof but I think its a pretty big blow.

If you were to pluck someone from middle america and put them on the jury and they hard that email, what do you think they would think?

Yeah, that was my thought too. I saw the thread and then opened it up and read the first post and thought "wait a minute, this is my thread!". :)

I'm not sure how keen I am to see ~18 month old threads resurrected again...
