There doesn't seem to be a lot of data out there for this stepping and from what I have been able to get out of it, it doesn't seem to be as good as some of the other steppings. Anyone else have one? What speeds are you getting and at what voltage?

Right now, I am stable @ 2655 at 1.35v x 113% (1.525v).

my new opty 175 should arrive today and the build should be complete by this weekend. if i get a CCBWE 'll let you know how it goes.

[edit1] i just received my 175 from newegg. it's a CCBWE 0543. i don't have the mobo to put it in yet- hopefully tomorrow. i'll let you know how it does.

Dumb question. Why 1.35V * 113% instead of 1.525V in your BIOS? Is it because the BIOS doesn't do V increments that small?

Not a dumb question - good question (Per Mr. Garrison, there is no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid people :D). The "special value" multiplier exists to allow smaller increments of voltage inscreases below 0.25 (as it appears you have guessed). There is a school of thought that using a lower initial value and then adding the voltage multiplier helps to add to stability. I think I have experienced this while trying to OC my opty but I'm not sure because that particular setting ended up failing prime but it ran much longer than the straight voltage setting (I don't recall the settings I was using).

There is a short thread about it HERE. I have appended to it to see if there is more supporting evidence.
