Optorite DVD+-RW and DVD xCopy Xpress Prob..

Hey, anyone who has experience with the Optorite DVD+-RW burner, have you gotten it to work with DVD Xcopy Xpress?

I tried backing up Black Hawk Down twice with, the Yuden DVD+R's ( the ones that were included). The rip and burn are all normal, no errors. But when I try to get the drive to recgonize the burned DVD+R it just sits there and freezes.

I've upgraded to the 2.16 firmware as well...

Anyone get DVD xCopy Xpress to work with this burner? If so what Version, what firmware, and what media?

I think i read summit a while back about xcopy not recognising this drive at all.

and try DVD Shrink or Nero Recode (part of nero express) its much better

well, supposedly they fixed that with Version 3.0 .. it should work with the drive now.

just use dvd shrink and nero to back up your dvds, its much better that way.

Yeah. I just got Dvd Shrink. I ripped a dvd to my harddrive but what do I do now?

Nero has 2 options for burning dvds: DVD-Video and DVD-ROM(UDF). Which one is right?

you can always use xcopyxpress and once it gets done extracting the vob and ifo files you can just cut/paste them out of the working directory into another directory (you have to do this before you close xcopy, cause when you close it, it deletes all the files)

then use nero or other software to burn it to disc

Why would anybody use DVDXcopy? It's not free and makes you use 2 DVD+-R no?

DVD shrink is king.

shrinks them down to the size of a 4.7gb disc

well the current dvdxcopy express uses only one dvd+r and has all the extra features, trailers, etc. by the way, does anyone know the version number of the latest dvdxcopy xpress? also, does dvdshrink include the extra features and stuff, and how is the quality?
