optimus v help

I upgraded to an Optimus v with virgin mobile Monday. I have had virgin mobile since 2003. My phone worked fine in my house until Thursday when I asked VM to reactivate my voice mail. Since that moment my phone will not make/receive calls or text messages. My 3g and my wifi work fine independent of each other. VM had me go to best buy and exchange for a new phone since it was just purchased. Went to best buy original phone worked there but went ahead and traded for a new one just in case. used new phone while away get home same problem!!! I have anywhere from 2-4 bars in my house. Why won't my phone work????:confused: I have already called VM back and they are escalating it to the next level which if they go from my call earlier today then I should be above level 3 tech support. Any ideas???

Maybe both phones received an outdated/updated PRL?

Ask them about the update PRL procedure on Virgin Mobile. It's possible a tower in your area is no longer available for roaming, and you were using that as your home connection, but due to PRL update are no longer authorized to connect to it. Not likely, but it's a possibility.

Thank you! All that trouble yesterday and we think it is out at home due to the Sprint tower in the area being down. Will know for sure once the tower goes back up.
