Ya those keys on the thing he linked look like a laptop's... very easy to press and not very 'tall'...

Well, all the images are computer generated, so yeah. Wait until we get some real reviews in before making opinions. I don't like laptop keys either (then again, I'm probably never going to be able to afford one of them, but yeah).

Per the website:

It?s in the initial stage of production.
We hope it will be released in 2006.
It will cost less than a good mobile phone.
It will be real.
It will be OS-independent (at least it?s going to be able to work in some default state with any OS).
It will support any language or layout.
Moscow is the capital of Russia.
Each key could be programmed to produce any sequence.
It will be an open-source keyboard, SDK will be available.
Some day it will be split (and made ?ergonomic?).
It will most likely use the OLED technology (e-paper is sooo slow).
Our studio is located two blocks from the Kremlin.
It will feature a key-saver.
Keys could be animated when needed.
It has a numeric keypad because we love it.
There?s no snow in Moscow in summer.
It will be available worldwide (why not?)
OEM is possible (why not?)

Looks like it has potential, but they could somehow screw it up badly in the implementation.

Please note the "It will cost less than a good mobile phone.".

A good mobil phone can retail over $500. Even say this keyboard is $400, that is crazy expensive for a keyboard.

I love the idea but at these prices, I will stay with my dx1.

I wonder if it will have the features for games/applications so that if:

You hold down the shift or alt key, the LED displays on the other keys change to correspond with the new functions associated with shift+ and alt+ key combinations.

I've seen phones for $900.

In anycase, I heard the keyboard should be around $200... my phone cost $240, so yeah.

The mini is pathetic if you ask me. $100 (will go up after May) for three keys that only last 5000 hours?

I'll pass.

Exactly, 5000 hours in my case would probably last 2 years tops (especially when I thnk about all the fun stuff I could use it for). Maybe it has a 'screen saver' or something to increase the life, but still ...

All they said was that it will (hopefully) be released by the end of the year.
