I recently reinstalled my original copy of XP Pro on a fresh HD. I got it right when XP was released so it is around 4 years old. When I try and upgrade it with SP2 it tells me that I can't install because my Serial key may be pirated. This Version was the old version that allowed multiple installs so I think it may be telling me that for this reason.
Now my question is... if I can't install SP2 without getting a new copy of XP (another $200) how can I optimize the OS? Are there updates and utlities I can get that will allow it to run well and up to date?
