I believe this is the exact way the stealth camouflage worked in the Metal Gear Solid games.

Yes, I know they are games, I'm just pointing it out...

This is just advance blue screen techniques. It's nothing impressive.

News channels have been doing similar things for years with the weather people.

The difference is that instead of processesing a map onto the blue areas after the weather person is recorded, the image is ACTIVELY being processed onto the silver area. essentially, it could be a still image, or set up to be recording from behind the subject as it's going on.

Basically, it's not anything like invisibility, it's something anyone with AV equipment and programming knowledge could do in their basement.

i dont beleive that. i think its real. and because you thik its so easy why dont you do it for us as proof

I don't think a lot of you understand what this thing is and how it works.

-the viewer is stationary.
-a picture of the background is taken from the viewers standpoint
-the viewer puts on a Head-Mounted Projector (HMP)
-the subject is covered with a material of a specific color and reflectivity.
-the image of the background is reproduced in the HMP, overlaying where ever the subject is. (similar to a blue screen effect)

This is not military style camouflage (unless your enemies happen to be standing still and using HMPs).

It has uses for things like removing tools from your field of view and making robots look human.

I can imagine a situation where you have engineers building on a large device, say a satellite. A computer could have a complete model of what where all the internal components are and what they look like. An engineer wearing a HMP could easily take a look inside the satellite.

ARE YOU FREAKING STUPID? I JUST EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING ON AND YOU THINK IT'S "MAGIC?"

YOU DOLT.

Edit: Give me a couple hundred thousand dollars for equipment and I'll be right on top of that one, tough guy.
