Optical Mousepad

Hi there, and merry christmas 🙂

My question: do i need an special mouse pad for an optical mouse?, cause i am getting an slow reaction in games like quake?

thanks!

Did you set the mouse sensitivity in the options menu? If it's moving slowly, then you need to raise the sensitivity.

I just got one of those MS Wireless Intellimice and have to say that it is a bit floaty. I'm not a gamer by any means but I can only imagine the frustration of not being able to get where you want to go EXACTLY when you want to get there. I don't think that any mouse pad will improve the mouses action. Like the first response said, check your settings and maybe crank up your sensitivity...if you're dealing with a wireless mouse then I think what you have is what you're going to get...

I have an Intellimouse and was having some initial trouble using my desktop as the mousing surface. The eye became confused on the fake woodgrain, so I grabbed a piece of OSB from Lowe's and it's worked great since. I don't have any problems in Quake, but I think it's because I have the sensitivity set high in the OS and low in the game.
