ARgh!

I have an intellimouse explorer 3.0, which has always worked just...... till two days ago..... I was playing
a game of Quake3, and suddenly I hear these "DING DING" sounds, and then I can't move the mouse...
After 5-10 seconds, I hear the "DING DING" again, and then it starts moving again...
This has been happing more frequent in the last days, now its every minute or so...
DING DING; mouse halts; time passes, DING DING - and then I can move it again..
There's absolutely nothing to see in windows when it happens, one should think
that the DING DING would be accompanied by an error box or so, but nothing!

And the halting also happens in Windows now sometimes, it is so damn annoying...
My friend also has this problem with the same mouse, except he has to reboot before
it works again, I just have to wait a little.. Can anybody solve this problem for me?

I am using windows xp professional, on an epox8kha+ motherboard...
The mouse is connected to my NaturalPro keyboard, which is connected to
my USB port in the computer, it has always worked before :(((

My guess is also a problem with the cord itself.

Try another USB mouse if you can, and see if it does the same thing or not.

I just called their hardware support! Which number should I call (give me the name, not the number.. I live in denmark ;) - remember, I don't have any sort of support-deal or anything with them =)

I'm confused by what you mean "support - deal" . Intellimouse Explorer Optical have a warranty on them. I want to say lifetime warranty, but it could be 3-5 years.

This is microsoft's Supplemental Support telephone # 800.360.7561

You only need a photocopy of the bottom of the mouse and fax it back to them. They will step you through it and give you all the info.

I've preplaced a few mice with them.

1-425-454-2030 is their Tech support #

on the danish sites it says "find out of you qualify for free support".. "click here if you have a support-deal with microsoft" blablabla... it is very confusing
and misleading..... It's probably only in America, that they exchange the mice if they break.. In denmark we have to exchange our hardware at the original vendor,
not the manufacturer. Those numbers are American I take it, so they wouldn't do me much good.
