Hi All,
I am new to Laptop usage, although I have had PCs for many many years. I just got a used Dell Latitude C600 which has, for a mouse, a small rectangle and a very small little stud to manuever the pointer. It is very sensitive and very difficult for me to use. Also, I don't have the manual for the system.
What I would like to do is add a PS/2 regular optical mouse to the system to use when the Laptop is not mobile.
Question is: Do I have to some how disable the current mouse system and then add the PS/2 mouse? If so, how to disable? I did try a serial mouse, which I am not certain is in working condition, but it did nothing. It looked like the OS, Win 98 SE accepted a new device but it had no affect when I moved it.
Just what need I do to add a mouse and not have to use the current hardware which is so sensitive that the cursor moves all over the screen and is difficult to control?
Thanks,
Len
