Will any optical mouse work in any operating system including Mac? I don't see a problem since you don't need drivers to get them to work

Well, not exactly. If you can find one that will plug into a mac, I'm sure you can use it. :p On Windows, I think the sky's the limit on mice. :p Same with Linux. ( 2.2 & above )
