Optical Drive Problem

Hey,

My Lite-On DVD-ROM recorder stopped being recognized (when i open up 'My Computer' there aren't any icons under "Devices with Removable Storage" besides a floppy icon for an A: drive) after i downloaded the OS, and a few drives for my video, audio, and ethernet adapter. I have tried to put CD's and DVD's in it, and nothing activates the auto-play.

I'm at loss for what has happened between the time i was able to download the OS and the drivers and now....
