Hi,

I was thinking about buying a cordless logitech mouse & keyboard. I was looking to the beautifull pack Logitech® Cordless Desktop® MX? (click on link and choose your language) :)

Does anyone knows if it is any good?

How are response times of keyboard & mouse? Are they good for work? And for those fast gameplays?

Erhm ... now this might look silly, but I was wondering if the radio waves of the mouse/keyboard could be any kind of nocive ... anything proved/found? I mean, I know that everyday I'm constantly receiving radio/micro waves from radio stations, cell phones, ..., just want to know YOUR opinions :) (not that they will avoid me buying the stuff eheh, just to know).

Thanks

I find no lag or delay whatsoever with the kb/mouse (I have the original cordless optical mouse, and an older wireless kb) in games, or anything.

I've been using this stuff for the past 20 months, and there's no effects that i've found. Apart from of course the 3rd nipple and the extra ear, but nothing special to write home about.

;)

Have been using the cordless MX combo for a week now, and it's absolutely marvelous. No lag whatsoever in either keyboard or mouse, and they both also have a great "feel" to them when u use them. Some may consider the mouse to be a bit heavy though, but if u have a decent mousepad (I have a ratpad) it will slide along quite easily. No complaints wahtsoever.

Never had problems with the f-lock key. It was on the first time i plugged it in, and always is whenever I boot up my comp.

Thanks for the answers.

I have a few more questions though :)

I found this in a review:
[1] "The scroll wheel does not feel loose like the ones on the Microsoft mice. However, when it is used with Logitech?s MouseWare, the mouse driver, scrolling can be laggy, especially on large web pages or documents, and the scroll wheel may not function at all in some games unless you disable the MouseWare program by "surgically" terminating the EM_EXEC.exe program running in the background. Logitech says the lag will be addressed in MouseWare version 9.75, which is due for release in November. They have also promised that this updated version of the mouse driver software will provide some special applications for gamers."

[2] "First of all the scroll wheel wouldn't work for me in BF 1942, regardless of trying different settings. In fact, the scroll wheel is horribly laggy even in desktop apps and browsing."

[1] Does the lattest MouseWare revision (which I think it's 9.76) solve this scroll-lag issue?

[2] Apart from the lag, which I mention in point [1], does the scroll have problems with any games? Like BF1942 stated above?

If you don't install the Mouseware software, then you'll be fine. Logitech make great hardware, but quite sucky drivers/software (well, mouseware sucks anyway)

The iTouch software for the keyboard is good, and on mine, the media buttons work with EVERYTHING on my computer (winamp, windvd etc).

Just install the latest iTouch software, steer WELL clear of the MouseWare software, and you'll be fine :D
