Opteron's from ZZF: Steppings??

🙂 I want to find out what people are getting from ZZF. I'm hoping they have similar steppings to Monarch's supply.
 
I just ordered an Opty 148 from them. Anxiously hoping for a good stepping. I could not wait any longer on possible future shipments of 146's.
 
Got my retail Opteron 148 from ZZF today.

CABYE 0543FPMW😀

I was so worried about getting a cabbage, or a variable low end CAB2E. Hopefully will get it in running later today. It could get interesting - I have 1 gig of Corsair PC4400C25 and a DFI NF4 DAGF. Will update as things progress.

I hate you, I hate:| JK. 😉 Why does it seem that everyone else gets CABYE's on the luck of the draw, while I always get CAB2E's??? The only way I could get a CABYE was to pay more and get one from Tankguys. I do have an OEM coming from the Egg tomorrow. After this, no more Opty orders!! Of course, that's what I said after 4th attempt and the Egg order is my 6th order😱

Well, against all common sense, I ordered a retail 148 from Mwave this AM. I had heard in some threads that there were some problems with these guys, but I decided to try 'em out anyway. Amazingly, within 2 hours of placing my order, I had Fed Ex tracking info sent to me. That's the fastest I've ever seen! Here CABYE, CABYE - come to daddy😀
 
I am thinking Vapochill and a DFI mobo and this OPTERON. I was real happy with the service from Mwave and the 2 day Fed Ex was under 8 bucks.

FINALLY!!!! Received 2 opteron 148's today. The retail was from Tankguys that I knew would be a CABYE 0543. The other was an impulse, wish me luck, buy from the Egg. The OEM is a CABYE 0542!!! Happy days are here!:thumbsup:

6th??? just assuming you spent $200 each thats $1200 for a processors. Just to get one that is gives you what??? bragging rights that you have it??? I think you might want to step back and examine your priorities. Don't mean to dis you or anything, but I find that absurd.

I admit that I got carried away in my hunt for the CABYE. However, I didn't do it for bragging rights, as you say. What's there in bragging about having one of these when it seems every other person here has one?? I just relished the hunt for one of them. Now of the 6 cpu's I ordered: 2 OEM's have been sold at close to my cost; 2 Retails have been rma'd at a slight loss and I plan to hang onto my 2 CABYE's. So until you know all the facts, you might want to keep your criticisms to yourself or better yet, don't chime in unless you've got some pertinent information to add to my thread.
