Opteron with a date of 0601?

has anybody received a opteron through the retail channels that is dated in '06 yet? just curious...

My 165 is currently in the mail...it came to the dealer with the 01/25 shipment, which was very small I guess. As I am quite close to the factory here in Germany, I will see if it is brand new...
I ordered at one of the biggest retailers and they only got 5 of them. Same for other retailers => small numbers / none. Just another hint AMD is not too keen on supplying the enthusiast market with these babies. Hence insane market prices. Luckily I got mine for ~?300 boxed. The X2 3800+ however is supplied in biiiig numbers...

in 0552 and 0601 no one was working in Germany anyway, lol 😉

EDIT: At what price do you get these in the US now davegraham? Also premiums on it?

i do bulk shipments over to Germany (have a guy over there who's turning them around). In any case, my overage is 5% to cover cc fees and a slim profit margin (< 2% when all is said and done)

hell, maybe dell will start to sell amd based servers like those 4500s (or whatever #'s there were) in the past for uber cheap...

oh well yeah they're still in production.

I seen 0551 TPBW, and 0552 FPEW ( i think), can't remember the stepping on the 0601. Soon we should see like 0603 and stuff.
