Opteron heads-down

This is not a dual-core but rather dual capable.... which means you can put 2 Opteron 244s in a Dual socket 940 motherboard.

thats one of the biggest opteron list I've seen on an online retail store. The last time I purchased an item at Mwave was over 7 yrs ago and they were pretty big back then. I came to their warehouse to pick up the item and it was huge. I almost bought an X2 3800 a few months ago but I found out that monarch computer has it for the same price so I bought at monarch instead since I dont have to pay tax. Darn if the Opteron price are that low, I dont know what I am gonna do with my X2 3800, hmmmm, tempting tempting, I guess I could treat myself with a nice Xmas gift.

I pretty certain they also required Registered DDR Ram.

The 939 Opterons don't require the Registered DDR.

Actually I screwed up!

FW links onsale.com for a 4% rebate. By the time I called to cancel the order (less than 4 hours) it had already shipped. So the cost should be $318 - $12 or $306 delivered.

Dont forget that 14x series come in both 940 and 939 flavors. Check the AMD order part number.
