One thing to note. CPUZ doesn't recognize all 4GB of RAM (there are in fact 4 sticks of RAM in there). I'm guessing this is simply because it hasn't been updated yet (and Windows actually reports 2.75GB of RAM).

Came in yesterday. Haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces yet, but I will soon enough.

I've literally only had a chance to get the OS installed and get some quick readings. I've been swamped working on a few other things, so once that settles down, I'll get the results, including whether NUMA is working or not (I sure hope so).

Didn't pay for it. Was one of several boxes sent by AMD.

Dude... you get latest stuff; do you work on a hardware review site?

Envy flows in our vains when we see you.

bump for some updates!

Still haven't had time 🙁 Hoping to get to it this weekend, but been massively busy getting ready for E3.

BTW, I don't do it for envy. I do it to share information, when I have it. That's all, nothing more. 🙂

And no, I don't work for a hardware review site, but I've considered starting to do some as a subset for my site anyway.

OK, Per my PM, I really will run some benches on my Tyan Board if you let me borrow that pair of 275's. Tyan says they have a bios update that supports the new cpu's.

Ah, that's what that was about.

I'm not in a position to let them out of my hands, I'm afraid. These were not purchased CPUs, but a complete box provided by AMD directly (along with 4 other machines of varying types).

Ya don't put yourself at risk, not worth it.. But we do expect you to push each one to the very limit! I think I saw at another thread you have X2's as well.. You are very lucky man!

😛

Bump for when you get time!

As long as he doesn't start with the nvidia line that the 6800 series cards do not have stuttering issues with EQ2, then we'll be alright.

I mean that Ronin had 12 6800 Boards and never any problems.

(Nvforums people know what I'm talking about) 😉

I do, and I haven't. Thanks for coming here and posting something absolutely meaningless to the thread.

Notoriously, I rarely ever have issues with any hardware. Sorry if you have a hard time believing that, but hey, to each his own.

I've spent an extensive amount of time on that specific issue (because I can) with varying systems. I have no reason to provide misinformation. To that note, I have never said there isn't a problem, I simply stated that *I* didn't have the problem. They are mutually exclusive.

I am the same way...I like to think I take my time, do the research (reading the reviews from early adopters listing the issues), and by quality components.

Hardware is different then software and sometimes we are just stuck between a rock and a hardplace when we deal with gaming drivers for both Nvidia and ATI.....I have only had on software issue playing games of recent and that was conflict between Zone Alarm AV and SP2.....It would give me a blue screen starting NFSU 2....I solved it by shutting off the AV when playing game. I ultimately got a free version of AVG and everything works fine even with AV turned on...Sometimes it isn't the drivers for the vid card. You have to be smart enough to test all different things....

Ronin if you can run some real multitasking test other then that crap AT ran.....

Ayup, that's the plan.

After running the P4D and seeing no improvements whatsoever in the conventional benchmarks, I realized (should have before I even began), that the multiple cores would show no benefit to anything that was not SMP capable or multithreaded.

Ronin how do yo get all this hardware? I want just a fraction!!! PLEEEASE🙂

I actually got a email from a mem maker to do review on thier ram but I was fishing for a whole week when the offer came in.. they found someone else🙁 due to my hiatus, that was my only chance so far...
