Well, I managed to get the thing to my cart, but when I got to the order confirmation page after submitting the order, it shows a blank order. 😛

whats better?

3800 X2 VS opty 175?

From the quick research I did this morning, The O175 is about equivalent to an 4400X2, but will overclock better.

I could not find any benchmarks for the chip though.

Haha I ordered mine at 7 this morning (It's now 10) and my order is still being processed. But I got the email order confirmation.

i would never even consider entering my CC and personal info, that site looks terrible.. (sorry to thread crap but man that site does not look trust worthy)

A good place to use virtual account numbers. I did (well, I do everywhere).

Update - they said they are currently updating the website and to call in 30 minutes (at about 10:10am EST).

Funny thing, I placed and order for the 175 opteron and it seems to never have gone thru. I check into my account under page computers and I see the order , yet I never received a confirmation email. Hopefully my order for the 148 is successful.

An order confirmation email is nothing more than that.......their website confirming that they successfully RECEIVED your order. Not approved, not processed, not shipped, just received.

I'm sure that there's at least one person over at Page Computers this morning, watching this mad dash to get grossly underpriced Opterons by thousands of people (aka "the Anandtech Effect"), and saying, "Wait! Wait! Wait.......dammit, how do I turn this thing off?!?!?" 😉
