Hi.

I just put a new CPU - Opteron 170 Dual core, and a 7900GTX card in my computer, and it's running very well.
But I have one problem: NFS Most Wanted runs much too fast, like when you fast forward in a movie.
Is there anyone who can help?

The only thing that I can think of is that the game has timing issues on dual-core CPU's...usually that only happens with older games though. Have you tried installing the AMD processor driver and/or the Microsoft hotfix for Windows XP on dual-processor systems?

Also, as a quick fix to see if that really is the problem, you can select the process in Task Manager and set its affinity to only one core...I have a few older games with timing issues and the affinity setting fixes them.

yes i know that i can run it on one core, bur maybe there is a patch for it??

Seeing as the game isnt programmed to be multi-threaded, there is no advantage to running it on two cores anyways. So all a patch for it would do is make it automatialy set its affinity to a single core, instead of you manually having to do it.
